  • Chopta is a small region of meadows and evergreen forest area that is part of the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It serves as a base for trekking to Tungnath, the third temple of the Panch Kedar, which lies 3.5 kilometres (2.2 miles) away. Located at a distance of 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) from Tungnath is Chandrashila, a peak rising to over 4,000 metres (13,000 ft).
  • Chopta is an unspoiled natural destination lying in the lap of the Uttarakhand Himalayas and offers views of the imposing Himalayan range, including Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Chaukhamba. It is located at an elevation of 2,680 metres (8,790 ft) above sea level.
  • Chopta village is surrounded by forests of pine, deodar, and rhododendron and is rich in flora and fauna, including rare species of birds and musk deer.

Conditions

Booking:
  • All bookings for the tours/treks are made with the Organization, hereinafter referred to as ‘the company’, and are subject to the conditions.
  • The person signing the booking form accepts the conditions and is hereafter referred to as the client.
  Liability:
  • The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather conditions, flight cancellations, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest, or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance. The company reserves the right to use alternate transport or vary the itinerary due to breakdown, sickness, or any other force majeure. Any additional costs that result, such as extra hotel accommodation, flight, or road transport, will be at your charge and must be paid directly on the spot.
  • Please note that certain hazards are inherent in your adventurous and cultural holidays, which you must accept at your own risk. The company will not be liable for any major or minor injury, death sustained during the trip, nor will it be liable for any uninsured losses of your property or other losses during the trip.
  Travel insurance:
  • This is mandatory for all clients travelling on any tour/ trek or independent itinerary arranged by us. You are responsible for obtaining adequate insurance covering the expenses of unexpected events, as mentioned in the liability paragraph. the loss of baggage, medical expenses, helicopter (air or ground) rescue, injury, death, repatriation, cancellation, and curtailment of the itinerary.
  Refund:
  • No refund will be made for any unused services included in the tour/trek cost. No refund will be payable to any client who voluntarily or is obliged to leave a trip en route; clients are responsible for bare their expenses, including expenses such as escort, transport, hotels, and other related servicesoccurred due to such circumstances.

Booking & Cancellation

  • 50% of the total programme cost should be deposited in advance for booking.
  • The booking amount is non-refundable.
  • Balance payment should be made at least 7 days before the tour begins. The amount paid once is not transferable to any other programme/tour or any other individual(s)/group or for any other service.
  • No refund shall be made if participant(s) drop/terminate from the program at any point for any reason.
  • One has to take care of his/her individual luggage.
  • The organizers or any individual connected with the tour shall not be held responsible for any accident or any unforeseen natural calamity.
  • Bank charges have to be paid by the Client.
